The design of the cast ring is based on a rubber toy found in a gum ball machine. Through the transformation of material, beauty and worth are uncovered in an object once seen as having little value. Available in steling silver, brass and gold plated brass.

WITS ORIGINAL COLLECTION - Wits' jewelry is mostly made from ordinary materials and everyday objects, which we modify in order to alter their meaning, with the intention of changing the way we perceive them. We are interested in finding value in the mundane. We like to play with combining high and low end materials and to evoke strong associations and narratives. WITS is: "the ability to relate seemingly disparate things as to illuminate or amuse"

Polishing spirals used by jewelers are combi- ned with castings of these spirals, and held together by a thin silver thread. The tool is used as the decorative element rather than to polish the metal components.
